Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Roy Alfred Sikes, age 72, who passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Harborview Health Systems under the care of Hospice of South Georgia. Mr. Sikes was a military lifer serving 20 years in the U.S. Army, serving two years in Korea, a Vietnam Veteran, and stationed at multiple duty stations across the U.S. He was a former RWP employee and a member of Surrency Community Bible Church.
Mr. Sikes was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Thomas and Grace Turner Sikes.
Surviving is his wife of 49 years Sandra Cason Sikes; two sons, Michael Sikes of Hilliard, FL and Jerome Sikes Sr. of Surrency; three grandchildren, Alyssa Jade Sikes of Baxley, Christina Marie Whitehead of Waycross, and Jerome Robert Sikes Jr. of Surrency; one brother, Joe Sikes (Julie) of Blackshear; and one sister, Velma Sue Stone of Waycross; a wonderful caregiver Khrista Jarrell of Surrency and numerous nieces , nephews and cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Carlton Rowell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Surrency City Cemetery with military honors.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.
Active Pallbearers are Will Varnadore, Bryan Horton, Tom Bellow, Jamie Morris, Darius White, and Mitch Crosby.
Honorary Pallbearers are RWP Employees, staff of Hospice of South GA, and Surrency Community Bible Church Members.
