Rose Hughes Obituary

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Ms. Rose Marie Hughes, age 62, who passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Riverside in Jacksonville, FL.  She was a longtime resident of Appling county, a retired seamstress with Bailey Boys, and a member of Consolation Baptist Church.

 

Ms. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Harmon and Frances Marie Reynolds; stepmom, Pat Harmon; son, Grady Hughes; sister, Sherry Roach and her best friend, Joyce Faye Beecher.

 

Surviving are three sons, Thomas Hardwick (Emily), Samuel Hughes (Sendi), Rex Hughes (Danielle Herndon); fifteen grandchildren, Brittany Watts (Ryan), Michael Hardwick, Tyler Hardwick, Noah Hardwick, Sky Hughes, Ashton Wasdin, Brittany Spell, Heather Hesters, Brandon McGuirt, Travis Hughes, Grady Hughes, Katie Scott, Jordon Scott, Christian Herndon and Mason Hughes; seven great grandchildren; two brothers, William “Mex” Harmon and Johnny Priest; four sisters, Cindy Strickland (Tony), Linda Herndon (George), Tina Rozier (Jerry), and Pam Cranson (Robert); brother-in-law, Ronnie Roach; daughter-in-law; Tonya Lynn McFall; special friends, Vance and Cathy Yawn and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

 

A funeral service will be held Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. from the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Rick Brown officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.

 

The funeral service will be live streamed via the Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory Facebook page.

 

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

 

Active Pallbearers are Gene Darsey, Wayne Turner, Bobby Wood, Vance Yawn, William Harmon and Danny Shipes Sr.

 

Honorary Pallbearers are the Ladies of Bailey Boys and the members of Consolation Baptist Church.

 

The family requests that attendees adhere to all COVID-19 guidelines.
