Lawrence Monty Lee

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Mr. Lawrence Monty Lee, age 49, who passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at St. Vincent’s Riverside in Jacksonville. He was a lifelong resident of Appling County and an electrician.

Mr. Lee is preceded in death by a son, Trace Lee; his daddy, Jimmy Lee Shipes; his father, Richard Lee; and grandparents, E.Z. and Clydie Mae Meeks, and Lamar and Deloris Lee.

Surviving are two sons, River Lee of Baxley and Zack Davis of Hazlehurst; a daughter, Haylee Davis of Hazlehurst; fiancé, Brandi Johnson of Baxley; mother, Gail Simmons of Baxley; two brothers, Adam (Trisha) Lee of Lumber City and Nicky (Crystal) Lee of Baxley; one sister, Angie (Aaron) Beckworth of Baxley; nieces and nephews; Allie Beckworth, Alexa Smith, Brycen Lee, Carson Lee, and Delaney Lee; and stepmother, Joanie Lee of Alma also survive.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sand Hill Creek Church Cemetery with Reverend James Horton officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Active Pallbearers are Craig Lightsey, Zack Davis, Darrell Rucker, Bruce Johnson, Orrin Johnson, and Brycen Lee.

Honorary Pallbearers are all family and friends in attendance.
