Edward Baird Obituary

Rogers Edward Baird passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at age 88. He was a retired NTL Boilermaker. He worked for Chicago Bridge and Iron. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Edward is preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Sellers Baird; one daughter, Anita Kay Baird; and one sister, Margie Ray.

He is survived by children, Nancy Herb, Debbie (Spanky) Presley, Susan (Terry) Thacker, Rogers Edward (Dawn) Baird Jr., Jennifer French, Wayne Sellers, Kathy (Edsel) Mayers, and Randy (Yvonne) Sellers; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, February 18, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of The New Gardendale Funeral Home with burial to follow at Walker Chapel Cemetery.
