Donald Day Sr. Obituary

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for the Reverend Donald Lee Day Sr., age 76, who passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Meadows Regional Medical Center in Vidalia. Mr. Day was a native of Walker County, Georgia residing in Baxley for the past twelve years. He was a retired painter, ordained minister and a member of Oak Grove Church of God.

 

Mr. Day is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and DeEtte Russell Day; four brothers, Buster Day, Jim Tom Day, Edmond Day, Russell (Sonny) Day; and a sister, Deen Millican.

 

Surviving is his wife of 57 years, Laura Sisemore Day of Baxley; a son, Donald L. Day Jr. of Baxley; a brother, David Day of Walker County; and a sister, Margaret Bowen of Brunswick.

 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Nobles Funeral Home with the Reverend Dennis Bryant officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Omega Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service on Saturday at the Nobles Funeral Home Chapel.

 

Active Pallbearers will be Matt Bass, Charles Olgetree, Juan Perez, Henry Youngblood, Bud Holland, and Corie Turner.

 

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Oak Grove Church of God.
