Christine Johnson Beecher

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Mrs. Christine Johnson Beecher, age 87, who passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the Pavilion. She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County, a homemaker and a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mrs. Beecher loved gardening, fishing, family and her flowers.

Mrs. Beecher is preceded in death by her husband, Luther Gordon “L.G.” Beecher, brothers and sisters, Pete Johnson, Sister Green, Odell Hollis, Bill Johnson, Barney Johnson, Hoodie Johnson and Pee Wee Johnson, parents, Henry and Lennie Mae Nail Johnson.

Surviving are her children, Myrtle B. Johnson (Buddy) and Luther Jerry Beecher (Chrystal); grandchildren, Ryan Beecher (Joyce), Eric Beecher, Jody Beecher, Keith Beecher (Sarah), Haylei Beecher, Luke Beecher, Jamie Yarbrough (Melanie), Jill Zemmour(Alain), Gina Johnson, Courtland Newsome, Kimberlynn Napier, and Heather Newsome; great grandchildren, Codie Beecher, Nathaniel Beecher, Timothy Beecher, Jatin Yarbrough, Khloe Yarbrough, Noah Zemmour, Gabriel Zemmour, Andrew Fletcher, Hannah Lynn Fletcher, Grayson Napier, Sarah Grace Fletcher, and Sparky Fletcher; sister, Clementeen Morgan and many nieces and nephews also survive.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 3:00 P.M. from the Friendship Congregational Christian Church with the Reverend Gary Conger, James Norman Morgan Jr. and Reverend Larry Morgan officiating.

Interment will follow in the Friendship Congregational Christian Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the church.

Active Pallbearers will be Ryan Beecher, Eric Beecher, Nathaniel Beecher, Jamie Yarbrough, Jatin Yarbrough and Timothy Beecher.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the Nursing and CNA Staff of the Pavilion and the Staff of Spanish Oaks Hospice. 

All family and friends attending the funeral services are asked to follow COVID-19 mask guidelines.
