Derrol Hutcheson, Sr. Obituary

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services of Mr. Derrol Melvin Hutcheson, Sr., age 73, who passed away Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his residence under the care of Community Hospice.  He was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a member of Zion Church of God.  Mr. Hutcheson was a retired bus driver with the Appling County Board of Education and “a jack of all trades.”

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Melvin and Beaulah Presley Hutcheson; brothers, Warren Hutcheson, Edwin Hutcheson and James Hutcheson; sisters, Jewel Mimbs and Loleta Weaver; grandson, Caleb Hutcheson; nieces, Kay Hutcheson Harrelson and Carol Anita Hutcheson and nephews, Jamie Hutcheson and Glen Weaver.

 

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Mary Ryals Hutcheson of Baxley; six children, Derrol Melvin Hutcheson, Jr. (Billy Wooten) of Savannah, Michele H. Carter of Baxley, Ted Hutcheson (Christy) of Hazlehurst, Melanie H. Carter (Shaun) of Baxley, Jessica H. Williams of Baxley and Dale Williamson of Baxley; seven grandchildren; Brandon A. Carter and Anabelle U. Huebe of Pearland, TX, Adam Hutcheson of Hazlehurst, Micheal Williamson, Kaley Carter, Mekala Williamson, Kadance Carter and Avery Carter all of Baxley, several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 12 pm at Zion Church of God with Reverend Kenny Hutcheson, Reverend Luther Rowland Jr., Reverend Danny Horne officiating.  Eulogy will be by Randy Crawford.

 

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

 

Visitation will be held from 10:30 am to 12 pm prior to services at the church.

 

Active pallbearers will be Kim Weaver, Jesse Hernandez, Jessie Weaver, Sam Beckworth, Randy Livingston, Carroll Weaver and Alex Poole.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be the Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Zion Church of God, James “Buck” Morris, Windell and Janet Nail, Aletta Floyd, Jimmy and Sue Dixon and Paul Graham.
