Carolyn Medders Obituary

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for Carolyn Thornton Medders, age 58, who passed away Friday, January 11, 2019 at Memorial Health in Savannah.  She was a native and lifelong resident of Appling County and a homemaker.  Mrs. Medders attended Carter’s Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie J. and Evelyn Black Thornton and brother, Harold Thornton.

 

Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Randy Medders; one son, Jason Medders; two grandchildren, Jacey Medders and Jaden Medders; two sisters, Glenda Kersey and husband Andrew and Wanda Kersey and husband Carl; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2pm at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Angie Deloach officiating.

 

Interment will follow in the Satilla Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

 

Active Pallbearers will be Andy Kersey, Farrell Thornton, Cameron Cauley, Justin Woodard, Danny Smith and Carl Deloach.

 

Honorary pallbearers will be all in attendance.

 

The family will be gathering at Mrs. Medders’ home at 1220 Medders Road, Baxley.
