Shirley "Connie" Carter

Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the services for Shirley “Connie” Carter, age 61, who passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah.  She was a resident of Appling County for the past 49 years; a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include her husband, Mickey Carter of Baxley; two daughters, Kimberly Carter of Sandersville and Alicison Blackman and husband James of Eden; five grandchildren, Skylar Blackman, Joshua Blackman, Thomas Blackman, Victoria Carter and Richard Horton; two great grandchildren, Isabella Blackman and Brody Rogers; one brother, Ronnie Carpenter and wife Jean of Spartanburg, SC and two sisters, Bridgett Oxford and Caroline Watkins both of Spartanburg, SC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11am at Nobles Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend John Daughtry officiating.

Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2017 from 6-8pm at the funeral home.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult Sunday School class at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Appling County Public Works Department.

The family will be gathering at the home of J.L. Carter at 2197 Jekyll Road.
