Isaiah 25:8:"He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away tears from all faces," Isn't it heartwarming to know that one day death will no longer exist! Please visit our website J W.Org to find out how you too can have a share in fulfilling this prophecy......

Mr. Roy was always an inspiration to me and my family. He was always smiling when we went in the store, was always anxious to help find anything you needed, you told him your problems and he knew just what you needed to fix the problem. He was an awesome person and will be truly missed by us. Almost every time we went home to Baxley we would stop by to see him and purchase what we needed. Prayers for the entire family.

We were very sorry to return home to this sad news. He was an outstanding person to everyone who knew him. We will miss going in the store and seeing his welcoming face. May your cherished memories get y'all through this difficult time and find peace in knowing how much he was loved through out the community! Hugs and Prayers, The Smith family

So saddened to hear about the passing of Mr. Roy. Over 35 years ago, he gave me a job at Thompson's. I think I was the first female counter employee. He was supportive of my pursuit of higher education and allowed me to leave early for night classes. I have been forever grateful of his support. Over the years, he never changed, greeting me with his usual smile. Cherish your memories of a great man. Prayers for all.

Mr. Roy was a man who once you met him you never forgot him. We enjoyed trading with him for many years. He was one of the best examples of a Christian we ever had. Trusting that brighter days will be coming your way and that time and prayers of so many who care will lessen your sorrow each day. Ronnie, Kyle and Virginia

We are just at a lost with any adequate words to say to the family of Mr. Roy at this sad time in their lives. Mr. Roy has always been such a Godly leader for this Appling/Baxley community. He is such a fine Christian business man and friend. He always displayed such fine character and instilled it in the lives around him. There is such a void in this community by the passing of Mr. Roy Herrington. His work is finished on this earth and/but all the traits he passed on will live daily to his friends as we will continue to live on as we remember all of his great leadership traits in this community. With love ,prayers, and sincere sympathy Jim, Cathy, and Jason Ammons

Ms. Georgia, Tammy, Jeff, Julie, and family,
I was so heartbroken to learn of Mr. Roy's death. He was an exceptional man with a kind-hearted and gentle Christian spirit to all he came in contact with. With us not living in Baxley, I never once had to explain to my husband or boys who Mr. Roy was because he made a wonderful impression on them, and he always treated them so kindly.
I pray that God wrap soon you in His loving arms and carries you through this time of heart break. I choose to be thankful just for having known Mr. Roy, and I'm assured I'll see him again just as all of you will.
Love, hugs, and many prayers sent to you all!

May God grant all the Herrington family with peace, love and fond memories during this time of loss. But most important knowing the Roy is now at peace himself in the arms of his Lord whom he served while he lived on earth. Now he is at his final resting place with no more pain and sorrow. God bless all you . Love a cousin .

Although I regret Mr. Roy's passing, I'm thrilled about the fact that he is now in heaven. What greater joy is there than living a full life and achieving the greatest reward? I know that everyone including Mrs Georgia, Tammy, Jeff, Julie, the grandchildren, and extended family will struggle in his loss. However, I would encourage each to remember that Mr Roy lived a full, Christ like life, always helping others.

Like many, I'm an example of his help. I never would have finished college if it wasn't for his kindness, generosity, and encouragement. He always provided work when I was available between semesters, and went out of his way to help. I'll always cherish and remember him as the father of one of my best friends, and a man I can continue to look up to as an example.

May God continue to bless his family.

Sincerest regards,

Matthew D. Murphy

I am so sorry to hear about Roy's passing. He was always a courteous and kind person. We did a lot of business with him several years ago. He was always a pleasure to do business with. My late husband, M.A. Dixon, considered him to be a true friend to our family, as well as to everyone in agriculture and business. Please know that you all are in our prayers.

Tammy, Julie and Jeff...and of course Mama Georgia....my heart is broken for all of you. Such fond memories of our family vacations and sleepovers! Your dad has always held a special place in my heart. Our families have been weaved together since, well -forever! I am there in spirit. Roy always encouraged me (even when others rolled their eyes at my silliness)--his ability to make someone's day brighter with his special smile....and extend a famer a line of credit when times were tough speak to the special way he lived his life. He will be missed by all that had the privilege to know and love him. Love to our Herrington family, from your McLean family....Jackie
